The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is the official government agency responsible for coordinating disaster recovery in the United States and its territories. If your county is listed as a federally declared disaster, you may apply for assistance to cover losses that are not typically covered by insurance. Please visit FEMA’s website or visit DisasterAssistance.gov. for information about individual disaster recovery assistance.
The American Red Cross immediately responds to natural disasters all over the United States, providing food, supplies, shelter, first aid treatment and comfort to victims. Learn more about their disaster recovery services here.
